Castle v. 5 (31) Known Issues

This page provides an overview of the key known issues with the current release of the Castle mobile app. Not all issues are listed here. This page will be updated as new issues are reported if they are highly likely to impact a majority or large portion of users.

Accessibility, Display

The following are known Accessibility and Display related issues.

  1. Splash Screen: Castle logo text on app splash screen wraps on some iPhone models with Font settings customized to show larger fonts 

  2. Some dialogue boxes appear to have the messages cut off on some iPhone models with Font settings customized to show larger fonts. These do support manual scrolling for viewing of entire message.

  3. Explore: Main menu is cut off, preventing view and access to Explore Organizations functionality

Errors and Notifications

The following are known Error and Notification related issues.

  1. App may display an error dialogue box with the following message during first connection to the service. User should press OK to continue

    • "Alert - refresh UserStore error: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'e.client.query'}​ - OK​

General Functionality

The following are known General Functionality related issues.

  1. News Feed:Next Up Display issue for Events with long names - text renders misaligned

  2. ​News Feed: Public Events added to by user to their calendar still display "Add To Calendar" button

  3. ​News Feed/Explore Events/Group Events/Family Group Events: Public Events added to by user to their calendar still appear in More To Explore

  4. Events: Private Events for Public Groups are displayed to all Castle users, regardless of Group membership status and invitee status

  5. Events:Private Events for Private Groups are displayed to all Group Members, regardless of invitee status

  6. Events:When creating an Event, after the user has edited a text field extra margins appear added to the top and bottom of the scroll area.​

  7. Events: No way for user to re-accept Event invitation after declining - must be added back by another user

  8. Topics: App allows user to create Topic for Event not attending or creator of - Topic appears in database but is not available to system users

  9. Explore: Events, Groups and Organizations are not filtered based on geographic location 

Android Only

The following are known issues that only occur with Android devices.​

  1. Android: Primary navigation tab bar remains visible when keyboard is shown

  2. Android: Public/Private Event and Group setting is not displayed on Android

iOS Only

The following are known issues that only occur with certain iOS devices.​

  1. Create Event: times are wrong on iOS 10 - Times are displayed and written to the database as UTC, without time zone specific offsets
